Bouldering for kids and youth
If your kids always climb the trees, garages and boulders, bring them to our gym. Here, in a friendly environment, we will teach them how to climb safely. Climbing is a great way to improve strength, endurance, balance, flexibility and mood. Climbers of all ages are welcome!

Most of the groups are Estonian-speaking, but the coaches also speak other languages.
Tuition fee
1x a week - 65/55* EUR/month
2x a week - 90 EUR/month

Season 2023/2024
The season starts on 09/02/2023 and lasts until 05/31/2024.
The club has the right to cancel training on public holidays and school holidays.

The following schedule is valid until the end of May. There will be a different schedule for the summer season. Registration for next season autumn groups will be opened externally in July.
3-4 years old
Our main focus in the 3-4 year-olds group is to ignite the kids’ passion for doing sports. Parents are involved in trainings as they can take active role in it. Our training is playful and fun. Not only do we climb, but we also conduct a little bit of age appropriate strength and conditioning, mobility and flexibility exercises. 3-4 year-olds group is preparation for coming years, where the focus will be more and more on climbing technique and evolving towards professional climbing sport.

7-8 years old
Our main focus in the 7-8 year-olds group is to ignite the kids’ passion for rock climbing as a sport. Our training are partly playful and partly sport-specific. Not only do we climb, but we also conduct a little bit of strength and conditioning, mobility and flexibility exercises. The group comes together twice a week and the group’s training is preparation for next years when the focus is more on technical climbing.

9-11 years old
The main goal of the Recreation group for 9-11 year olds is to enjoy movement, learn basic climbing techniques and improve the body's general physical ability. The main focus of the training is on climbing, but there is also a playful aspect. The focus of the recreation group differs from that of the sports group in terms of its less competitive sports-oriented structure and more relaxed approach. In addition, during training, exercises are performed that develop strength, mobility, and body awareness. Good recreation for a young person looking for exercise opportunities outside of school.
The main goal of the Sports Group for 9-11-year-olds is to acquire and refine bouldering climbing techniques, and to achieve the physical strength necessary for future development. The training is sport-specific, where the main focus is on climbing and learning techniques. In addition, during training, exercises are performed that develop strength, mobility, and body awareness. The children of the sports group participate in both Estonian and foreign rock climbing competitions. Participating in all competitions is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended to participate in as many as possible, as competitions increase the motivation to train and make the whole season more purposeful.

12-14 years old sport group
The main goal of the Sports Group for 12-14-year-olds is to achieve bouldering mastery in technique, as well as physical and mental preparation.
The trainings are sport-specific and take place 3 times a week:
- twice a week is bouldering training
- once a week there is a specific training for rock climbers, which supports the multifaceted development of the climber.
This training is divided into 3 "blocks": rope training, climbing-specific mobility training, climbing-specific strength training. Each block lasts 1-1.5 months. The coach shares information about each block with his group - venue, time, additional equipment, etc.
The youth of the 12-14-year-old Sports Group participate in both Estonian and foreign rock climbing competitions. Attending competitions is not mandatory, but recommended, as competitions increase the motivation to train and make the whole season more purposeful.
Training takes place in the Kivi Climbing bouldering hall (Pärnu mnt 139e, 11317 Tallinn).

Bouldering for adults
Climbing is a great way to improve strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, mood and find new friends. Come alone or with friends and learn how to climb. Maybe, it will be your new awesome hobby.

Want to try bouldering, but don’t know how? Have been bouldering a few times, but would like to learn some basic techniques and tips? This workshop is what you’ve been waiting for! During a 2 hour workshop, our instructor will introduce you to the basics of bouldering: safety; warm-up exercises; the “rules” of bouldering; how to choose a route/project for climbing; how to fall; basic technical tips for climbing. Come and find yourself a new cool hobby and friends!

It is well suited for those who have completed the 101 course and want to delve deeper into learning different climbing techniques. Consistent training provides a good opportunity to develop strength and gradually acquire techniques. Ensuring safety during training is also an important emphasis for us.
One course lasts almost 4 months (5 September - 21 December 2023/ 2 January - 18 April 2024).
There are places for up to 8 participants in the group. Registration is open until 5.09 (or until places are available).
Training takes place twice a week:

Each week, a certain topic is covered, which is the same in two training sessions. The course is conducted in Estonian. Our instructors also speak English, and Marianna also communicates in Russian.

Where to next? After 4 months of learning the technique, it is a good opportunity to join Marianna's women's group or train further with Keit Nurga's advanced group.

Bouldering workouts for women (intermediate level)
Register for training
The group works together with the goal of jointly supporting each other's continuous development. If the basic course gives you the opportunity to acquire basic techniques, then in this group it is good to test these techniques and overcome your limits in a pleasant atmosphere. More complex techniques are acquired and the focus is on how to solve boulder problems. The coach's presence and support helps you reach your goals faster, and the support of the group motivates you to develop. Joint strength and stretching exercises are also included in the training.
The group's common goal is to climb real rocks next spring/summer. Before that, our club also conducts a rope climbing course under the guidance of Marianna Zvereva and Darja Frolova.
Coach: Marianna Zvereva has been giving bouldering training for a year now. Marianna is also a passionate rock climber, with whom you can continue climbing in nature. Marianna has experience in both bouldering and rock climbing for over six years now.
The training is conducted in Estonian. Marianna also communicates in Russian and English.

Training for advanced climbers
The group is led by Keit Nurga. We welcome both men and women who are interested in moving to the next level and wish to focus more on training and find motivation in group training. It is suitable for those who have already acquired basic climbing knowledge. The training is conducted in Estonian.
When?
Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00-8:30 pm (you can also come earlier to warm up). You can choose to participate in the training once or twice a week.
How much does it cost?
The club will issue a monthly invoice to the participants after the trial training. Prices do not include access to the gym or shoe rental. Kivi Climbing Club services can also be paid for at Stebby.
1 time per week, monthly fee is 35 euros.
2 times per week, monthly fee is 70 euros.
Number of participants: max 10.

Kivi Ronimisklubi mobility training
This training is for you if you are interested in developing mobility and avoiding injuries through conscious training. Every athlete could find time in their training for training with such specifics.
There is a progression for everyone. The goal of the training is to develop physical expression through mobility exercises aimed at different areas.

Monthly pass 35€ (in addition to Kivi Climbing Hall entrance).

Coach's background
Sten has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for over 10 years, he started climbing in 2015. His interest in different ways of moving has accompanied him through all his activities. He has almost 10 years of coaching experience, most of which is Jiu-jitsu training, wrestling and physiotherapy classes. He is always open to new and interesting ways of self-expression.
